It has been officially announced that a live-action How to Train Your Dragon 2 movie is in the works. The film is set for a June 11, 2027 release in the United States.
Director of the animated version, Dean DeBlois, returns to direct the second installment, starring Mason Thames (Black Call) as Hiccup and Nicole Parker (The Last Survivor Season 1) as Astrid.
